NanoCIPHER Lab

Computational Informatics for Polymer and Hybrid Engineering Research

The Gissinger Group at Stevens

We are a computational research group focused on providing molecular-level understanding of chemical degradation, mechanical failure, and dynamic response of polymeric materials from advanced space-faring components to daily use packaging, textiles and electronics.

Nanoscale Research with Global Impact

The interactions between atoms and molecules are collectively responsible for the performance of materials.

Understanding how small-scale structures relate to measurable properties aids in the design of defect-tolerant functional polymers.

Modeling Chemical Reactions

From batteries to biology, many important technologies and physical phenomena operate as out-of-equilibrium reactive systems.

Join the Team! The Gissinger Group is actively hiring motivated graduate students and undergraduate students. Please email Prof. Gissinger at jgissing@stevens.edu for more info.
